It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we welcome you to the Security Council at the SHVMUN 10th edition. 

My name is Regina Loera, I will be your moderator during this model, and Emilio Garza will be your president.

We hope you will exceed our expectations on this committee. As one of the most prestigious committees within the United Nations, the Security Council holds the responsibility of maintaining international peace and security, and at this model that responsibility now rests with you. Over the course of the sessions, you will be challenged to think critically, debate passionately, and collaborate diplomatically as you tackle some of the most pressing and complex issues facing our world. 

We expect you to find great solutions, to be diplomatic, to share your ideas, but mostly to take this enriching experience and give your best. Good luck, delegates!
