The Silent Epidemic: The Rise of Child Depression and Suicide in Latin America
Dear Delegates,
Welcome to the Inter-American Children’s Institute (IIN) at this year’s SHV Model United Nations! We are thrilled to have you join us for what promises to be a thought, impactful and engaging committee session.
Our topic was chosen in the importance of future generations and young people.
Now more than ever, we must bring discussions and opinions as nations. We have worked enthusiastically for this coming edition. Through the debate, we hope to see innovative solutions, powerful collaboration, and a deeper understanding of how we, as future leaders, can contribute to protect the well-being of individuals.
As your chairs, we want to remind you that MUN is not only about policy and diplomacy, it’s also about creativity, and having fun. We encourage you to speak up, ask questions, and most importantly, support one another in creating a respectful environment.
Whether this is your first MUN or you’re an experienced delegate, we are here to support you in every step of the way. We believe in your abilities, and the ideas you will bring to this committee.
We’re excited to meet all delegates, and don’t forget to enjoy the experience!
Regards, your president and Moderator
