Welcome to the Hemispheric Security Committee!

We are so excited to have you here and to explore such an important and complex topic together: Anti-personnel Mines and Lethal Autonomous Weapons. These issues affect real people and raise serious questions about safety, ethics, humanitarian responsibility, how we want technology to be used in the future and address critical issues affecting our region and the world. It’s not an easy conversation, but that’s exactly what makes it worth having.

This committee is a place for learning, debating, and pushing ourselves to think deeper. This is a topic rooted in history, conflict, innovation, and diplomacy. I hope you’ll feel encouraged to speak up, challenge ideas, and work together toward creative and realistic solutions.
